Double layered Mock tail (Non-Alcoholic)

Holy Ramadan month is here, we need to have some delicious but healthy drink to break the fast. If you are not fasting don't worry, you can enjoy the drink during this hot summer.

Ingredients(for 2 glass):
1. Yogurt/curd - 1 cup,
2. Lemon juice - 1/2 cup,
3. Fresh water melon juice- 2 cups,
4. Ice cubes as needed,
5. Sugar - 2 and 1/2 tbs,
6. Roasted cumin seeds powder - 1/4 tsb
7. Salt to taste.

Procedure:
Step1: In a bowl take the yogurt/curd, a pinch of salt and 1/2 tsb sagur and mix well with a spoon. If the mixer is too thick add little water and mix well.
Step3: Take the serving glass and pour the yogurt until half the glass. Keep them in refrigerator until we make the 2nd layer.
Step3: In a blender jar pour the water melon juice, lemon juice, ice cubes, cumin powder, sugar and salt to taste. Blend until everything mix well together.
Step4: Take out the glass from refrigerator and pour the juice mixer from the blender slowly. Be careful to not break the lower layer of yogurt.
Step5: Garnish and serve chilled. Enjoy.

Baingan ka Bharta

One of my favorite Punjabi recipe, which goes well with both rice and roti. I just love the smoky aroma and flavor of the baigan :) hope you like it.

Ingredients:
Eggplants(baigan)-2 large
Onions-finely chopped 2 medium
Tomatoes-3
Yogurt-250 g
Red chilli powder-2 tsp
Turmeric powder-1 tsp
Coriander powder-1 tsp
Salt to taste
Oil- 3~4 tbs
Ginger+garlic paste-2 tsp
Garam masala-1 tsp
Ghee- 1 tbs
Chopped coriander leafs-to garnish
Procedure:  
Step1: Put an eggplant on medium flame of fire to roast.
Step2: After the eggplant turns black and brown let it cool down, remove the skin.
Step3: Mash the eggplant.
Step4: Heat oil in a pan. Add finely chopped onions and fry till transparent. Add ginger-garlic paste. Add chopped tomatoes. Stir till oil separates.
Step5: Add red chillies, coriander powder, turmeric and salt. Stir and gradually add stirred yoghurt.
Add mashed egg plant and stir.
Step6: Allow mix to simmer for around 8 minutes. Pour the ghee at the end.
Step7:Garnish with green chillies, green coriander and garam masala powder.

Layered Water Melon Cake

Hi all,

Summer is here. You can find water melon in almost every grocery shop. If you are  thinking how you can serve water melon to your guest in a different way. Then you are in a right place :)

Today I will describe a cake preparation with water melon. I am sure your guests and family members will love it. Please try to make it and let me know your feedback.

Ingredients:

1.Water melon,
2.Wiped cream,
3.Fresh fruits and gems or choco chips for decorating

Preparation:

1.Cut the water melon into round shaped slices (I used 3 slices) as shown in the picture’s step1. Try to de-seed the water melon slices.


2.Mix sugar to the wiped cream if it is not enough sweet for a cake.
3.Layer the water melon slices putting the wiped cream in between. It will work like glue.

 4.Cover the whole cake with wiped cream.
5.Decorate the cake with fresh fruits/gems/choco chips or whatever you want.

6.Keep the cake in the refrigerator for at least 2hrs to cool down.
7.Serve chilled. Enjoy
